I had an incredible year in the Netherlands, thanks to the amazing support from NEDSA. From the very beginning, they were professional, friendly, and responsive. They happily assisted my matching with a wonderful host family who made me feel welcome and part of their lives.
Living with my host family was an enriching experience. We celebrated Dutch holidays, explored the local culture, and enjoyed many memorable moments together. The cultural differences were enlightening, and I learned so much about Dutch customs, language, and traditions.
One of the highlights of my year was visiting the Keukenhof Gardens during spring with NEDSA and the other au pairs. The breathtaking beauty of the tulips and the vibrant atmosphere were unforgettable. I also enjoyed biking around the picturesque countryside and trying traditional Dutch foods like stroopwafels and poffertjes.
This experience has broadened my horizons, improved my language skills, and given me lifelong friendships. NEDSA provided excellent support throughout, making sure I was comfortable and happy. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a rewarding au pair experience in the Netherlands.
Through NEDSA I met my perfect host family match, next thing I knew I was on a long flight to country I had only seen online- first was getting used to cycling everywhere, then looking left when crossing the road (everything is opposite here!) and experiencing Winter temperatures that no amount of coats or scarfs could help! A memory that will remain with me is stepping off the platform at Amsterdam Central, after navigating the train system by myself for the first time, I was breath-taken. I saw with my own eyes the iconic, historic buildings, witnessing van Gogh’s artworks that I had only ever seen in books, and tasting a warm syrupy stroopwafel beside a calm canal. From seeing my very first snowfall, and making friends through NEDSA, and seeing more of Europe, it has been an unforgettable experience.
This year I’ve been able to make life-long friendships, learn more about children (since I want to become a teacher) and I’ve fallen in love with a part of the world I thought I’d never be able to visit!! This experience has been amazing so far and I seriously recommend becoming an au pair through NedSA if you have a love for children and child development and want to explore the beautiful country of the Netherlands!!
I have only been an au pair for the past 4 months, but it has been a life-changing four months! Being able to explore a new country, learn new traditions from the dutchies and explore a beautiful part of the world, has been one of the best decisions I’ve made!! NedSA is an amazing agency that helps you through the whole process of becoming an au pair and makes sure that your needs are always met, that you’re happy and that you’re enjoying your experience. My year as an Aupair in the Netherlands has now come to an end and it is such a bittersweet feeling. I can’t wait to see my friends and family again, but I just love it here so much!
My experience with NEDSA has been amazing! We have the best ‘AuPair days’, where all the AuPairs come together and do fun activities. For example: Keukenhof, Anne Frank, This is Holland, Volendam tour, ice skating etc.
This was a once in a lifetime experience! The culture here is just so much fun to see and experience. Whether it’s having a broodje hagelslag with the kids, celebrating Sinterklaas, Kings day etc. There is just never a dull moment! I have not had a “rest weekend” since I came here, I love making the most of my time and exploring every chance I get, cause there is just so much to do and see! If you ask me every young girl should have an experience like this! Also the bond you’ll have with your host kids is irreplaceable.
To be an au pair at nedsa is to experience life like never before. The year thus far has been amazing,from learning new skills,growing as a person,meeting lifelong friends and having the opportunity to experience a wonderful culture. Nedsa has helped me get a great family that treats me like one of their own. I couldn’t have asked for better…this is truly a year that will be close to my heart forever!
NEDSA makes you feel really welcome in the Netherlands, they make you feel at home and they never leave you alone they always check on you and make sure you are okey. They are really trustworthy, supportive and REALLY organised. Oh and they hold the best Au Pair days, and coffee dates with Joyce. LOTS OF FUN!!! The two families that welcomed me gave me the chance to be part of their families, to participate and to be a part of their children’s life. I have met the most loving and kindest people ever. I have made lifelong friends and travelled to the most amazing destinations in the world. I will forever cherish these special moments in my heart. NEDSA Au pair Agency was referred to me by a friend and after my year of working with NEDSA, I can definitely say that I am very happy with that I followed my friend’s advice. Aupairing has been an incredible experience for me. I’ve learned so much about myself while learning about a different culture and experiencing new things everyday. Its a year where you get the chance to travel, make new friends and enjoy the Dutch life with bikes, trains and its unpredictable weather. You also get to build a strong bond with the family while living with them and doing things together.
Working with NEDSA has made the whole process so much easier. The agency is really helpful and try make it a successful year for both the aupair and host family. They are often in contact to make sure everyone is happy. The aupair events arranged by NEDSA are a great way of meeting new aupairs from your home country and making friends that help support you through the year.
With the help from Nedsa, I received the most suitable host parents that made my year in Holland one for the books. The year was challenging in more ways than one for sure, which only made me become stronger and more confident. I often found myself achieving tasks that I never before thought were possible. But with difficulty, hard work and sacrifice comes reward, which is greater in my eyes. The reward to me is looking back at myself from a year ago and realizing how much I have grown and learned, as well as the experiences I hope my memory never takes away from me and of course my ‘host family’ that turned into what feels like my real family. I am really grateful for the hosts that I had. Not once did they make me feel like I didn’t belong, instead they were always helping and motivating me, giving me tips and tricks to life as well doing their best to make sure that my goals I had set out for the year were met. I had the privilege of taking care of their 2 kids for the year, which was definitely the foundation to my growth and confidence.
Nedsa was also very helpful with regards to Au Pair days. I had the chance to meet new people and make new friends. Nedsa was always very quick to help me out with anything I was uncertain of and very informative.
